Free! Animation

Towards a future four hundred metres away. The series that began airing in 2013 brings together the complete first season of Free!, a story of swimming, youth and the bonds between friends.

Haruka Nanase has always loved being in the water and swimming. As children, Haruka, Makoto Tachibana, Rin Matsuoka and Nagisa Hazuki attended the same swimming club, but went their separate ways after winning a competition shortly before finishing elementary school. Years later, Rin suddenly reappears before Haruka, who has been drifting through high school without a clear purpose. Rin challenges him to a race and demonstrates overwhelming strength. Haruka cannot let things end there.

Makoto and Nagisa reunite with Haruka, and together they recruit Rei Ryugazaki to establish the Iwatobi High School swimming club. Haruka, Makoto, Nagisa, Rei and Rin each face the water and one another as their story begins. The bonus programme gathers the FrFr! short films from the original releases, along with creditless opening and ending sequences and web previews.
