Kamen Rider W Animation

Two detectives become one. Their battle had a continuation.

The official manga sequel to Kamen Rider W, following the events of the 2009–2010 series, receives the anime adaptation fans have awaited. From its original broadcast, Kamen Rider W won support beyond tokusatsu audiences through its compelling drama and meticulously constructed world.

The manga began serialisation in Weekly Big Comic Spirits in August 2017. Conceived for an adult manga magazine, it deliberately left Kamen Rider W out of its title and developed the idea of a Kamen Rider for grown-up readers. The approach drew wide attention, and by the publication of its twelfth volume the manga had surpassed 2.1 million copies in circulation, reaching readers beyond the existing tokusatsu fan base.

Now Fuuto PI brings that world into animation. The familiar detective partners Shotaro Hidari and Philip are joined by the enigmatic, alluring Tokime as they confront new mysterious incidents in the windy city of Fuuto. Stylish action and combat scenes deliver speed, spectacle and a level of animation designed to satisfy anime fans.

Shotaro and Philip should have secured Fuuto’s safety. Yet strange phenomena continue to occur behind the scenes. Before them appears the mysterious Tokime, followed by a new shadow of evil. A new battle for Kamen Rider W is about to begin.

Supplementary material takes viewers behind the production and revisits the programme through event recordings and audio commentary. The limited first pressing features an illustrated presentation box, an illustrated digitray and a special booklet. These first-press extras are subject to remaining availability; subsequent regular pressings may replace them.
