Himitsu Sentai Gorenger TV Series

Himitsu Sentai Gorenger Blu-ray Box 3 brings together episodes 34 through 50 of the pioneering Super Sentai television series. The programme follows the five members of EAGLE's special unit as they oppose the Black Cross Army, continuing the adventure in a negative-scanned HD remaster released for the show's 50th anniversary.

The team's story begins after the Black Cross Army destroys EAGLE's Japanese branches. Five survivors, one from each branch, are brought together by commander Gonpachi Edogawa to form the Gorenger. Created by Shotaro Ishinomori, this 1975-1977 series established the starting point for generations of Super Sentai heroes.

Using the numbering of the complete series, disc 7 contains episodes 34-39, disc 8 covers episodes 40-45 and disc 9 presents episodes 46-50. Supplements on the final disc include an interview with Risa Komaki and Himitsu Sentai Gorenger: The Red Death Match, presented in standard definition.

The three region-free Blu-rays contain approximately 431 minutes of television episodes in the original 4:3 format. Japanese Linear PCM mono audio is included without subtitles. For episode 48, the title card has the blue background confirmed by the master materials, replacing the black background seen on the previous DVD release.
