Kamitsubaki City Under Construction Animation

Defy your destiny. The original Kamitsubaki City Under Construction project finally becomes an anime.

Developed by KAMITSUBAKI STUDIO since 2019, Kamitsubaki City Under Construction tells the story of exploring the hidden mysteries of the virtual Kamitsubaki City and restoring order and peace. Its original world has appeared in many forms. A community of more than twenty thousand participants has taken part in projects using Discord and X, formerly Twitter. The story has expanded through alternate reality games and tabletop role-playing games, a rhythm game released in August 2024 and an adventure game released in March 2025.

The production, presented as part of the SINKA ANIMATION SERIES, also has a connection to the SINKA LIVE SERIES of virtual concerts announced in 2023. The television anime expands this ambitious project further. Witness the story unfolding in Kamitsubaki City for yourself.

The world is brought to life through beautiful animation. Five Witchlings possess singing voices capable of restoring a broken world. Music and story come together as they confront the city's threats. The familiars fighting alongside them have both Tesseracter and human forms, while the Reconstruction Section Chief is a biological artificial intelligence created to rebuild and defend the city.

Song is magic: it can change both the world and destiny. Seven years after a great disaster devastated human civilization, Kamitsubaki City, once a research and academic city devoted to advanced science, is making a miraculous recovery by using its technology. Yet behind its prosperity, monsters called Tesseracters, born of human malice and desire, cause strange disturbances throughout the city.

Only the singing voices of five girls known as Witchlings can oppose these monsters born from malice. Determined to protect the city's peace, they face the Tesseracters with their magical songs as weapons. In a city left standing within a broken world, the story of girls resisting destiny begins.

Video extras include the creditless ending and a collection of promotional videos and commercials. Enjoy the story of Kamitsubaki City once again on Blu-ray.

The original first-production bonuses were an artwork digipak, a special box, a KAMITSUBAKI CARD GAME promotional card using the jacket illustration and a special booklet. These limited bonuses depend on remaining first-production stock and are not guaranteed with this regular edition.
