Kinnikuman Animation

The legendary Justice Chojin reunite! Just when peace seemed to have returned, the hardline Perfect Large Numbers faction launches another mysterious assault. With the Justice Chojin missing their strongest fighters, Kinnikuman and Terryman take on the challenge, unexpectedly joined by their former enemies, the Seven Devil Chojin led by Buffaloman. Fierce team battles break out around the world.

These opponents, who call themselves the true Perfect Chojin, possess overwhelming power, and now a second wave of the Perfect Large Numbers has arrived. The Justice and Devil Chojin have suffered mounting casualties, while the survivors are battered and exhausted. Just when resistance seems about to end, Robin Mask, Ramenman, Brocken Jr. and Warsman finally appear: the long-awaited core of the Justice Chojin.

Through each victory, these passionate heroes have sought to understand their opponents. Can that spirit reach a new enemy force that rejects emotion? The bell rings for the second round of this brutal team confrontation at a new battlefield: the Tottori Sand Dunes.

The story continues the journey of Kinnikuman, the prince who came to Earth from distant Planet Kinniku and was mocked by humans as a hopeless Chojin. After unexpectedly gaining entry to the Chojin World Cup, he achieved a miraculous victory and defended his title the following year. He became a central figure among the Justice Chojin, protecting peace across the universe. With the power of friendship and allies such as Terryman and Robin Mask, he repelled the Devil Chojin’s ambitions to rule the world and the Perfect Chojin’s attempts to eliminate weaker Chojin from Earth.

Having earned recognition for these achievements and survived the final struggle for the Kinniku throne, he inherited the crown from his father as Planet Kinniku’s universally acknowledged fifty-eighth king. He returned home, married, and left eight years of fighting behind. About a year and a half later, the universe should have been at peace—but a new conflict was waiting.

One of Weekly Shonen Jump’s flagship titles in the 1980s, Kinnikuman helped drive the magazine’s extraordinary growth. Its television anime, launched in 1983, exceeded a twenty-percent audience rating, spawned seven theatrical films and fuelled the Kinkeshi capsule-toy phenomenon, with more than 180 million figures shipped. In November 2011 the manga made an unexpected return as a weekly serial, resuming the story from where its Shonen Jump run had ended. That new saga, the Perfect Origin Arc, now receives its long-awaited anime adaptation.

Box 2 contains all eleven episodes across four Blu-ray discs. Its jacket and digipak feature new illustrations by animation character designer Hirotaka Marufuji, accompanied by a 32-page special booklet and an 80-page selected storyboard collection. The included Full Color Premium 2 Kinkeshi box contains seven figures: Robin Mask, Nemesis, Strong the Budo, Brocken Jr., Black Hole, and Buffaloman with Springman in their Devil Expander combination.
