Lupin the Third Nippon Columbia Anime Music

The first release in the Lupin music-file series returns to the original television series that began in 1971. This anthology gathers the releasable recordings from the period known as Old Lupin, whose distinctive musical world was created by Takeo Yamashita.

It combines material previously scattered across Columbia releases with recordings issued on VAP's Lupin the Third '71 ME Tracks in 1999. The collection also revisits Yamashita's 1980 session album in digitally remastered form, bringing the early Lupin sound together in one anthology.
