Lupin the Third Stage & Musicals

Lupin the Third meets kabuki in an original stage production. The beloved series, known across manga, television animation and other media, becomes a dynamic theatrical adventure through the distinctive techniques and staging of kabuki.

The story is set in the Azuchi–Momoyama period, when Ishikawa Goemon really lived. Lupin and his companion Daisuke Jigen pursue a treasure of national importance: Himiko's golden seal. Two legendary swords, a male and a female dragon blade, are needed to release its seal. Whoever brings the swords and the golden seal together is said to gain the power to rule the world.

The female sword is held by Goemon, a bandit famed throughout the land, who also seeks the golden seal. Fujiko Mine, whom Lupin loves, seems to know more about the affair. The ruler Mashiba also covets the treasure, while Lupin's longstanding rival Zenigata pursues him and Goemon.

The seal can be obtained when a reincarnation of the Nigihayahi clan splits a meteorite with the paired swords. Lupin challenges Goemon, only for Fujiko and Zenigata to appear and force a retreat. After saving the arrested Goemon from being boiled alive, Lupin learns that Goemon's acquaintance, the courtesan Itoboshi, is a reincarnation of that clan. How will the struggle over this extraordinary treasure end?

Supplementary footage includes a press conference and press interviews held before opening day. The release comes in a sleeve case and includes five postcards.
