Lupin the Third VAP Anime Music

A chronicle of an instantly recognisable national melody, this collection celebrates thirty years of the Lupin the Third theme. It follows the many rearrangements and covers created by its original composer Yuji Ohno, from the original openings of the New Lupin series to the full range of arrangements in the Lupin the Third JAZZ series.

Two newly recorded interpretations bring a fresh dimension: Ohno’s first piano-solo version and a new jazz arrangement by Yuji Ohno & Lupintic Five. Vocal performances range from Pete Mac Jr.’s Japanese version to English-language jazz interpretations by akiko and Salina Jones, as well as Sonia Rosa’s Portuguese version, revealing the theme’s many musical faces.
