In Is Lupin Burning?, Lupin joins the Formula One drivers gathering at Hida Speedway. The Scorpion criminal organisation has spent five years and five billion yen building the circuit as an elaborate assassination trap. Even after recognising the Grand Prix as a plot against him, Lupin keeps racing. What plan could allow him to survive?

One Chance for a Prison Break begins with Zenigata finally capturing Lupin, a humiliation followed by a death sentence. In prison he makes no apparent attempt to escape, instead repeatedly insisting that he is not Lupin. A year passes and the execution date arrives, leaving the question of whether he has a way out.

In Albatross: Wings of Death, a gigantic flying boat displayed at an aviation museum conceals a factory for miniature atomic bombs inside its wings. Its curator, the arms dealer Dr. Lonebach, holds Fujiko hostage and demands the nuclear ignition device she stole. The proposed exchange is another trap, setting off a battle in the skies.

Farewell, My Beloved Lupin takes place in a Tokyo shaken by jewellery-store attacks involving the giant robot Lambda. Maki, the robot developer’s daughter, has agreed to pilot it after being told that Lupin wants to prevent its military use. The supposed Lupin is an impostor: the son of an arms-company owner is deceiving her to sell Lambda as a weapon. As tanks pursue the robot and the city descends into confusion, the real Lupin approaches Maki disguised as Zenigata, only to be captured and left with a bomb as the impostor flees.

In Lupin the Third Is Forever, the PeopleLog application analyses vast online data to assemble personal profiles, and its rapidly spreading information corners Lupin’s gang. Zenigata reveals that Fujiko has surrendered after being driven into a corner by the app. Joined by Ami, the brilliant hacker who is also developer Enzo’s daughter, the gang infiltrates Shake Hands headquarters on Orig Island to rescue Fujiko from its top floor. Lupin must find a way to defeat PeopleLog and settle his confrontation with Enzo as the island becomes a battlefield.

The bonus animation Is Lupin Still Burning? marks the original manga’s fiftieth anniversary. Legendary opponents who once fought Lupin’s gang return to challenge them again.
