My Beautiful Man Movies

Again and again, I search for you. Again and again, I fall in love. That is my... eternity. The hugely popular drama finally becomes a film. Where will love lead Hira, the solitary outsider at the bottom, and Kiyoi, the beautiful, arrogant king, as they continue to misunderstand each other?

Quiet and friendless, Hira stood at the bottom of his class and fell in love at first sight with the overwhelmingly beautiful yet cold Kiyoi, the popular king reigning at its summit. After graduating from high school and overcoming many twists and turns, they become lovers and happily live together in Hira's home.

As university graduation approaches, Hira starts working as the assistant to popular photographer Noguchi. Witnessing professional work, he gradually distances himself from Kiyoi because he does not want to obstruct his expanding acting career. Hira can only think of Kiyoi as a god, someone sacred to revere; Kiyoi wants them to be ordinary lovers on equal terms. Even as they care for each other, they slowly drift out of step.

The spring when they met passes, followed by hot summer and deepening autumn. They endure cold winter... and spring returns. The two run toward the season of graduation.

The main film comes with a bonus Blu-ray containing approximately 89 minutes of making-of footage, stage greetings, bloopers, deleted scenes and trailers. An audio commentary features Riku Hagiwara and Yusei Yagi. A booklet is enclosed. Names and contents may change without notice. The cast features Hagiwara, Yagi, Akira Takano, Kisuke Iida, Yuta Kanai, Kayo Ise, Aya Ayano, Dai Ikeda, Kentaro Maeda, Motoki Ochiai, Sawa Nimura and Toshihiro Wada.

The two region-free Blu-rays include the approximately 103-minute film with Japanese DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround, Japanese stereo audio description and stereo commentary. English, Chinese and accessible Japanese subtitles are provided for the film; the commentary has no subtitles.
