My Beautiful Man TV Series

Love, love, love so much—and still never satisfied. A feeling like the fourteenth-night moon. Riku Hagiwara and Yusei Yagi co-star in the live-action adaptation of the hit novel by Yu Nagira, winner of the 2020 and 2023 Booksellers' Award. This set combines Season 2 with the special edit version, a re-edit of Season 1 released theatrically for a limited period!

Time passes gently. Kazunari Hira, played by Hagiwara, is now a fourth-year university student, while So Kiyoi, played by Yagi, struggles day by day as a new actor. Officially lovers, they live together in Hira's home. Yet Hira's obsessive devotion, almost a faith, remains unchanged. He retreats when Kiyoi wants him to come closer and pushes forward when he should step back, delivering a novel declaration of domestic authority. The beautiful, arrogant King Kiyoi has no end of worries.

Meanwhile, Hira has found a new hobby: disguising himself and following Kiyoi as a fan without being discovered. He watches quietly and alone, determined not to bother Kiyoi, until a certain encounter brings him a fellow fan...? With graduation approaching and classmates' lives revolving around job hunting, Hira, who has never held a part-time job, has a particular worry. When student life ends and they step into society, what paths will Hira and Kiyoi choose?

All four Season 2 episodes and the re-edited first season are included. Extras feature Episode 1 visual commentary with Riku Hagiwara and Yusei Yagi on main Disc 1, making-of footage, the advance-screening and talk event for the special edit held January 16, 2023, bloopers, deleted scenes and trailers. A booklet is enclosed. Contents and titles may change without notice.

The Season 2 cast features Riku Hagiwara, Yusei Yagi, Akira Takano, Kisuke Iida, Yuta Kanai, Kayo Ise, Aya Ayano, Motoki Ochiai, Sawa Nimura and Soko Wada. The special-edit cast features Hagiwara, Yagi and Takano, joined by Yuto Tsubone, Kento Sakurai, Momoka, Aya Marsh, Shuri Nakamura, Wataru Kuriyama and Toshiyuki Someya.

The three region-free Blu-rays comprise Season 2 at approximately 94 minutes, the special edit at 132 minutes, totaling 226 minutes of main programs, and a bonus disc with approximately 107 minutes. Season 2 has original Japanese Linear PCM stereo and the special edit Japanese DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 surround. Both offer separate stereo audio-description tracks, English and Chinese subtitles, and Japanese accessible subtitles; the visual commentary and bonus disc have no subtitles.
