The journey in search of myrrh begins again

The enduring Final Fantasy action RPG Crystal Chronicles returns seventeen years after its original release, remastered for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android.

Set out once more into a vast world to find drops of myrrh and save your village from the miasma.

Online multiplayer allows cooperation with companions far away. Newly recorded character voices and new dungeon areas bring an unseen world to this remastered adventure.

Story

Long ago, a great meteorite struck the continent, and the world became enveloped in poisonous miasma.

With the future seemingly stolen away, crystals capable of purifying the miasma brought hope.

But a crystal's life is not eternal.

Caravans leave on adventures in search of drops of myrrh, which renew the crystals' lives.

This is the story of young people who live alongside the crystals: the Crystal Chronicles.

A world of adventure

The adventure takes place across several areas containing beautiful villages, towns and caves.

Drops of myrrh await deep within dungeons inhabited by monsters.

Create your character

Choose your own representative from four tribes, with forty male and female character variations.

Become a member of a Crystal Caravan and begin the journey to save your village from the miasma.

An action RPG that rewards coordination

Stay close to the Crystal Chalice, which protects the caravan's lives. Carry it when needed, set it down at other times and coordinate your movements as you fight through the dungeon.

Cast spells with matching timing to combine them into more powerful magic!

In single-player, your moogle companion Mog helps you. In multiplayer, explore the broad world with up to four players.

Multiplayer across platforms

Online multiplayer supports cross-platform play between Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, iOS and Android.

Travel with friends across hardware boundaries and enjoy the larger world together!

High-difficulty dungeons and bosses

After completing the main story, challenge newly added high-difficulty dungeons.

Even stronger monsters and bosses await in areas with a new appearance.

More character variations and equipment

New character variations have been added for each tribe.

New equipment recipes and enhancement items expand the possibilities for customisation.

New voices, songs and narration

Character voices, absent from the original version, have been newly recorded.

Yae has newly recorded the theme songs Kazenone and Hoshizukiyo, together with narration.

The cast and music make the story even more memorable.

Online play requirements

This remaster adds new features and changes some elements of the original Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles released in 2003.

Online multiplayer requires an internet connection, a free PlayStation Network account and a paid PlayStation Plus subscription for the PlayStation 4 version.

Matchmaking takes place between players using software from the same region. Communication conditions can cause time lag.

Screen layouts, designs and resolutions differ between home consoles and smartphone versions.

Services available through an internet connection may end after time has elapsed since the game's release.
