Ginsei Shogi SilverStar Japan

If they stand in your way, fight even the gods

Ginsei Shogi comes to PlayStation 4. With an opening library containing three million moves, this authentic shogi game can handle a wide range of board positions.

Effects that enliven every match

Animations and sounds respond to changes in the position, including check and checkmate, adding excitement to play.

The reliable strength of the thinking engine combines with the powerful image of the Niō guardian figures used on the packaging to reinforce its presentation as a strong shogi program.

Plentiful support for beginners

Easy Guide offers two alternatives: a good move and a bad move calculated by the computer.

Piece Influence Display marks the squares to which pieces can move on the board, making the situation easier to understand. These features support newcomers.

Online matches through Share Play

Use the PS4’s Share Play feature to play remotely with friends. Offline two-player matches are also possible.

Using Share Play requires a PlayStation Plus subscription. Matches against the computer are supported offline only.
