Celebrating thirty-five years of Ys

To celebrate the Ys action RPG series' 35th anniversary in 2022, Ys IX: Monstrum Nox for PlayStation 4 was released as a Super Price edition at an even more accessible price.

Enjoy a new story featuring the adventurer Adol Christin and the Monstrums, individuals endowed with extraordinary powers, set in the prison city of Balduq.

The game contents are identical to those of the PlayStation 4 version of Ys IX: Monstrum Nox released in September 2019.

An acclaimed Ys entry with enduring popularity

With simple yet exhilarating party battles, exciting background music that intensifies combat, and multidimensional action using the extraordinary powers of the characters known as Monstrums—including teleportation, gliding, wall running and moving beneath the surface—Ys IX earned high praise from newcomers as well as a place in Weekly Famitsu Cross Review's Platinum Hall of Fame.

Since its September 2019 launch as a PlayStation 4 title, it has enjoyed sustained worldwide sales. Together with the preceding entry, Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana, it continued to attract new players and increase its sales at the time this reissue was presented.
