Tokyo Disney Resort Variety & Events

Celebrate twenty years of Tokyo DisneySea with shining Disney smiles, sparkling stages and treasured memories. This anniversary collection selects popular regular shows and special events from the years since the park opened in 2001, preserving as much of the characters’ and cast members’ performances and staging as possible in rare, immersive footage. Digest footage of the park’s twentieth-anniversary celebrations helps keep the memories of a visit alive.

The complete collection brings together Part 1: 2001–2006, Part 2: 2007–2011, Part 3: 2012–2017 and Part 4: 2018–2022 in an illustrated digipak. The opening period includes Porto Paradiso Water Carnival, Christmas Holiday in New York, Minnie’s Wishing Ring and Minnie’s Nutcracker.

Chip and Dale’s Cool Service “Deluxe” follows the mischievous pair as they build a large water-spraying boat, determined not to be outdone by Mickey Mouse and Goofy. Robo-Chip and Robo-Dale stand up aboard the boat, and drum-barrel rhythms and a “3, 2, 1, splash!” countdown launch concentrated jets of water. Mediterranean Harbor becomes drenched by spectacular sprays from both the water and the shore.

Summer Oasis Splash stars Genie in a refreshing water programme. When Aladdin wishes to enjoy a holiday on a tropical island, Genie uses his magic to start a mass of splashing water, transforming Mediterranean Harbor into a cool oasis. Fantasmic! unfolds in the dream world of Mickey Mouse as the Sorcerer’s Apprentice. This grand entertainment uses a variety of spectacular effects to bring the wonder of fantastic, adventurous imagination vividly to life.

Minnie’s Tropical Splash transforms Mediterranean Harbor into a colourful tropical setting for a water programme led by Minnie and her Disney friends. Minnie’s dazzling dancing and Mickey’s energetic splashing send great showers of water over guests on storm-like gusts of wind. Pirates Summer Battle “Get Wet!” brings Captain Jack Sparrow, Captain Barbossa and their unruly pirate crews to the harbor for a spectacular special event, combining huge bursts of water, flames, fierce battles and a grand pirate banquet.

Crystal Wishes Journey is the limited harbor show that opened Tokyo DisneySea’s fifteenth-anniversary Year of Wishes. Guided by crystals, Disney friends with different wishes become guides for guests looking forward to a new adventure, celebrating a journey into the anniversary year. Color of Christmas fills Mediterranean Harbor at night with an enchanting waterside display of glowing tree ornaments and an approximately fifteen-metre Christmas tree. Mickey Mouse and his friends arrive aboard a boat decorated with sparkling Christmas ornaments, making the nighttime harbor still more romantic.

It’s Christmas Time! fills Mediterranean Harbor with the dazzling world of Disney Christmas. Mickey Mouse, his Disney friends, singers and dancers sing and dance to favourite Christmas melodies in a revue show. Dressed in warm, white-based costumes, the characters gather to celebrate the season together.

Pixar Playtime Pals brings Pixar friends and guests together to tackle games in the worlds of Toy Story, The Incredibles and Finding Nemo. Everyone combines their strengths to complete the challenges in an exciting interactive entertainment programme.

Festival of Mystique sees an evil force creep into the Halloween celebration that has begun in Porto Paradiso. As the sea witch’s plot gradually takes control of the festivities, Mickey Mouse and his Disney friends confront the threat to reclaim the true spirit of Halloween. Harbor Greetings looks back in digest form at the colourful anniversary greetings presented through March 2022 during Tokyo DisneySea 20th: Time to Shine!, the celebration held from September 2021 to September 2022.
