TRUMP Series Stage & Musicals

Written and directed by playwright Kenichi Suemitsu, the TRUMP series is a gothic suspense saga about vampires who have lost their immortality and are driven by the legend of the primordial vampire TRUMP, who possesses eternal life. COCOON: Moon’s Shadow was staged to commemorate the series’ tenth anniversary, exploring a history of blood and life spanning fifteen thousand years, and the brief friendships and anguished endings recorded within it.

Childhood friends Angelico and Raphaelo reunite at the Clan during their cocoon stage. Together with the older students Diego, Emil and Giulio, they seem to be forming bonds that resemble friendship. Then a certain incident causes that fragile friendship to collapse. Before the antagonism seen in TRUMP, this is the story of Angelico and Raphaelo’s short-lived friendship and their break with one another.

Responding to fans who wanted to experience these beautiful productions on Blu-ray, the Revival programme released eight titles in succession, including six that had not previously appeared on Blu-ray. This edition contains the COCOON: Moon’s Shadow stage performance, with newly created packaging by TRMN, the graphic designer behind the artwork for Marigold.
