TRUMP Series Stage & Musicals

Written and directed by playwright Kenichi Suemitsu, the TRUMP stage series is a gothic suspense saga about vampires who have lost their immortality and are drawn into the legend of TRUMP, the primordial vampire who possesses eternal life. To mark the series’ tenth anniversary, Patch Theatre Company returned to SPECTER with a revised script and a new cast.

“This village is as good as dead.” In the isolated village of Nebula, a disturbing series of murders leaves villagers with their hearts removed. The culprits are four young vampires who have escaped from a Clan, an institution for vampires going through the cocoon period—the equivalent of human adolescence. Emotionally unstable during this stage of their lives, they commit one violent act after another in pursuit of a particular goal.

Breaking the village’s rules, a resident invites two outsiders, the vampire hunters Ga Banri and Sekishu, who have been sent by Gilt to solve the case. The investigators struggle to locate the culprits as villagers, for reasons of their own, interfere with their work. As the investigation advances, the secrets hidden by the villagers begin to unfold. Who is the specter?

Responding to fans who wanted to see these beautifully staged productions on Blu-ray, Pony Canyon’s Revival programme scheduled eight TRUMP titles over eight consecutive months, including six making their Blu-ray debut. This release contains SPECTER alone, with newly created packaging by TRMN, the graphic designer responsible for the artwork of Marigold.
