Ultraman TV Series

Enjoy Ultraman at home in 4K HDR10 for the first time. More than half a century after its debut, this landmark special-effects television series remains beloved by generations of fans. Ultraman 4K Discovery revisits its appeal through four themes: life, wonder, companionship and justice.

Each of the four programmes combines four complete Ultraman episodes with newly filmed 2023 Discovery sequences. Together, they offer sixteen classic stories in a new setting, inviting both first-time viewers and long-standing fans to find fresh ideas and discoveries in familiar adventures.

The 2023 and 2024 Tsuburaya Film Festival presentations were screened in 2K, apart from The Story of Life. This release presents the programmes for the first time in the full 4K HDR10 quality of the mastering process. The original negative elements reveal rich detail and natural definition, while high dynamic range brings out silver highlights, vivid reds and the depth of black. The restored Ultraman episodes are combined with new scenes filmed using contemporary 4K cameras, delivering a presentation beyond the theatrical screenings and streamed versions.

Koji Ishizaka, the original narrator of Ultraman, returns as the guide to a mysterious cinema where stories from around the world can be watched. Playing its manager, he welcomes a mysterious young girl and explores the enduring fascination of Ultraman through these four collections.

The set includes a Tsuburaya Film Festival promotional video and a four-page guide. The four picture-labelled discs are housed in a folding case inside a three-sided box. An Ultra HD Blu-ray compatible player is required; a 4K HDR television is recommended to enjoy the full presentation.
