World Trigger Anime

After four and a half years since the first season, World Trigger returns with its eagerly awaited second season and a dramatic step forward. Beginning with the intense battle against the Galopoula invasion, it follows the fate of Hyuse, now Border's prisoner, and the increasingly heated developments in the B-rank wars.

Border is a defense organization established to counter attacks by Neighbors, beings possessing unknown powers. Osamu Mikumo, a member at the lower end of the organization, forms Tamakoma Second with Neighbor Yuma Kuga, whom he met by chance, and his childhood friend Chika Amatori. To join an expedition to the Neighborhood, they fight their way through Border's internal rank wars.

Meanwhile, Galopoula, a vassal state of Aftokrator, one of the Neighborhood's largest military powers, launches an assault. Border's elite members confront this new threat.

The two Blu-rays contain episodes 7 through 12, running 138 minutes. Disc one contains episodes 7 through 9; disc two contains episodes 10 through 12. Extras include the ending sequence without credits and audio commentary. The commentary is hosted by Tomo Muranaka, the voice of Yuma Kuga, and producer Nagatomi. Guests are Yuki Kaji, the voice of Osamu Mikumo, for episode 7; Akira Ishida, the voice of Kazuaki Oji, and Katsuyuki Konishi, the voice of Tatsuhito Ikoma, for episode 10; and Eri Nakao, the voice of Shiori Usami, for episode 12.

The original first pressing included a special outer case newly illustrated by character designer Toshihisa Kaiya, a booklet and a character visual sheet. These limited first-press extras are replaced by standard specifications once supplies are exhausted. Product specifications may change without notice.
