Following Aftokrator's assault on Mikado City, Border has repelled the invaders but lost many members to abduction. Osamu Mikumo, Yuma Kuga and Chika Amatori form Tamakoma Second and pursue a place on the expedition force that could bring their comrades home. To qualify, they must finish among the top two teams in the B-Rank Wars. News of former Ninomiya Squad member Mirai Hatohara offers a possible connection to Chika's missing brother Rinji, while Hyuse joins Border and works towards B-rank promotion so he can enter Tamakoma Second and return to Aftokrator aboard its expedition ship.

The fifth World Trigger stage production brings this contest to its final matches, pitting Tamakoma Second and its new ace against the strongest B-rank teams. Adapted from Daisuke Ashihara's manga and written and directed by Norihito Nakayashiki, the April-May 2025 production combines tactical drama, choreographed movement and rhythmic music in the series' physical-live staging style.

Keisuke Ueda and Takuya Mizoguchi lead an ensemble that includes Arisa Sonohara, Ikkei Yamamoto, Himika Akaneya, Shogo Tazuru, Ayano Hamaura, Kento Ono, Kazuaki Yasue, Bishin Kawasumi, Saku Momose, Jin Aoki, Shota Matsuda, Ryo Takizawa, Juri, Kohei Shiota, Seiya Motoki, Yunosuke Matsushima, Marina Tanoue and Mirai Uchida. Kensuke Takahashi and Kosuke Kujirai contribute voice performances.

The main production runs for 172 minutes. A bonus Blu-ray includes rehearsal and backstage making-of footage and a full-stage view of the performance, while a sixteen-page booklet completes the set.
