Characters

Sophie Neuenmuller — voiced by Yu Aisaka

A girl who runs an atelier on the outskirts of town. She has a bright, warm personality, but she can also be rather careless. She loves alchemy and takes pleasure in using it to help other people.

Plachta — voiced by Yuka Iguchi

An old book belonging to Sophie's grandmother, kept on the atelier's bookshelf. When Sophie writes a recipe into it, Plachta awakens and begins teaching her alchemy. Certain events lead her to recover her human form.

Monika Ellmenreich — voiced by Aya Suzaki

Sophie's childhood friend and best friend. This talented young lady excels in both studies and martial pursuits, and is serious and well-mannered. Although she often points out Sophie's faults, she also takes care of her.

Oskar Behlmer — voiced by Seiichiro Yamashita

Sophie's childhood friend and the son of a greengrocer. He has the special ability to hear the voices of plants, and knows a great deal about grasses and flowers. Easygoing and optimistic, he is always full of unfounded confidence, but is easily discouraged.
