Build an Atelier town with legendary alchemists

Experience the everyday lives of Atelier characters and the excitement of watching your own world expand through town building.

Still evolving more than twenty years after its first release, the Atelier series takes a new direction with this game. Its theme is town building combined with RPG adventures, bringing you a new role-playing experience alongside the legendary alchemists of earlier Atelier games.

The beginning of the story

The Granzweit Sage created relics and left them across the world. These Sage's Relics remain the subject of people's research, and their mysterious power eventually came to be called alchemy.

Nelke von Lestamm is a young noblewoman who admires this sage. Unfortunately, she has no talent for alchemy. As a noble, however, she wants to work for others and intends to become an official, like other nobles, to contribute to the people.

Just days before her graduation from the academy, everything changes. A Sage's Relic is discovered near Westwald, a village in her father's lands.

“I want to find the Sage's Relic with my own hands.”

With that wish, Nelke pleads with her father, the lord of the territory. She is allowed to go there as its administrator on the condition that she fulfills a promise: to develop Westwald into a much larger settlement.

Westwald is a rural village surrounded by abundant nature, but there has long been a plan to develop it into a trading hub. Nelke's task is to go there as an administrator, carry out the lord's duties on his behalf and make that plan a reality.

Although she struggles with unfamiliar work and challenges, Nelke receives help from the alchemists and residents who arrive one after another. Through their cooperation, the village grows into a town and then a city.

As she pursues the mystery of the Granzweit Tree—the relic the sage left in this land—Nelke herself also grows into a capable adult.

Small, delicate flowers begin to sprout. In time, they will become a great, shining tree.

Develop a frontier village into your own Atelier town

Take the role of administrator Nelke and develop a land rich in nature while dreaming of the Granzweit Tree she has yet to see. Work with the alchemists to help the village flourish.

What kind of town you build is up to you. Westwald begins as a quiet village with little in it. When you open small shops and start revitalizing the settlement, helpers gradually appear. Cooperate with them to continue developing Westwald and create a town of your own.

Meet legendary alchemists

Popular characters from earlier Atelier games become Nelke's dependable allies. They help with town building, and you can deepen your friendships with them. You can also see interactions between characters from different titles.

The legendary alchemists help in many ways: joining investigations to defeat monsters, synthesizing various items at Nelke's request and helping in shops.

As development progresses, the village's population grows and it becomes a town and then a city. More new characters will come to visit as well.

New designs by NOCO

NOCO, who also designed characters for recent Atelier games, creates the character designs here. Both the new characters and popular characters from previous games appear in NOCO's distinctive art style.

Nelke von Lestamm

A talented young woman who graduated at the top of her class at the academy in the royal capital, Nelke admired the great Granzweit Sage, who helped people through mysterious power.

Without the talent to become an alchemist herself, she now seeks a way to serve people as a noble. Acting on behalf of her father, the lord, she becomes Westwald's administrator and works to develop the village.

Sophie Neuenmuller

Sophie is an alchemist on a journey toward her goal of becoming an alchemist who helps everyone.

Her cheerful personality puts people around her at ease, although she can be a little absent-minded. She loves alchemy and finds great joy in using it for someone else's sake.
