Ys Nihon Falcom

An entirely new Ys adventure from the Ys VIII development team

Two years after Ys VIII, the acclaimed action RPG released as the series' first PlayStation 4 title and praised by players around the world, the long-awaited new installment Ys IX: Monstrum Nox arrived on September 26, 2019.

Battle throughout a prison city with supernatural abilities

Enjoy the series' strengths: diverse skill attacks, fast-paced battles with free dashing and jumping, and thrilling fights against giant bosses.

Supernatural movement abilities such as running up walls, gliding and seeing through obstacles enable unrestricted exploration across the environment.

A mysterious story unfolds in the prison city. Numerous new elements are linked to the distinctive world of Ys IX.

The original physical extra

The original release offered Ys IX Original Soundtrack Mini CODE: RED.

Its red-cover presentation contains a selection of exciting Ys music, centered on the game's battle tracks.

The inclusion and condition of this physical extra in a Used copy depend on the individual item.

Internet requirements

An internet connection is required, but a continuous connection is unnecessary. This is not an online game.

Collector's Box original physical contents

This limited-quantity Collector's Box originally presented four major contents, including the PlayStation 4 Ys IX game, in a specially designed box inspired by the prison city.

The original prequel novel Ys IX: Lost Dragon Sword, initially announced under a provisional title, tells the story of Adol Christin and his partner Dogi after their adventure in the principality of Altago and before they reach the prison city, in more than one hundred newly written pages.

As they travel north through the continent of Eresia, helping a blacksmith leads Adol and his companions into an incident surrounding the treasured sword Cariosilion, which holds the power of a mysterious stone.

The seven Balduq Monstrum wanted posters reproduce the posters appearing in the game, with careful attention to their texture, as collector-exclusive physical items.

They contain information about the Monstrums and the wanted Adol, and can also be used as an aid during the adventure.

Ys IX Original Soundtrack Mini CODE: BLACK selects distinctive background music from the game that expresses the world of Ys IX, presented with a black cover.

The tall case also has space for the original CODE: RED soundtrack disc. CODE: BLACK's tracks differ from those on CODE: RED.

The inclusion and condition of the edition's original physical contents in a Used copy depend on the individual item.
