The Rising of the Shield Hero Anime

An other-world fantasy hugely popular in Japan and abroad! This is the story of a man who keeps getting back up even after everything has been taken from him.

Naofumi Iwatani is summoned to another world as the Shield Hero. Soon after beginning his adventure, a companion he trusted betrays him, costing him both that trust and his money at once. Unable to believe in others, Naofumi buys a slave who will never betray him. While hating the world around him, he prepares for the Waves, disasters said to bring the world to ruin, so that he can return to his original world. What will he gain at the end of his suffering? This rising-hero fantasy follows one man's climb from the depths of despair.

The Blu-ray box contains all twenty-five episodes across four discs, with 615 minutes of main footage. It features a newly illustrated box by original illustrator Seira Minami and special digipak packaging. A special booklet contains a new novel by original author Aneko Yusagi and a newly drawn short manga by manga-adaptation artist Aiya Kyu. Except for the newly illustrated box, the contents are re-collected from previously released products. Video extras are the first and second opening and ending sequences without on-screen credits, promotional videos, program advertisements and commercials, also re-collected from previous releases.
