Life and love cross in a big way! The hugely popular romantic comedy serialised in Weekly Shonen Magazine receives its long-awaited television anime adaptation. This is Blu-ray volume 3, containing episodes 7–9.

The original is Miki Yoshikawa's enormously popular A Couple of Cuckoos, serialised in Kodansha's Weekly Shonen Magazine. Yoshikawa's works include Flunk Punk Rumble and Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches. The story of a boy and girl switched as babies who become engaged and begin living together, and the four-way relationship involving a classmate and the boy's non-biological younger sister, caught readers' hearts from the start of serialisation. Collected volumes continued to receive reprints. This leading romantic comedy begins its long-awaited television broadcast from April 2022.

The original announcement offered extensive first-press extras: a digipak newly illustrated by character designer Aya Takano, a special leaflet, and a heroine photograph reproducing a famous scene from the original manga in beautiful colour. Each volume's first-press specification included these items. The exact-edition retailer now marks them as no longer available, and the selected Amazon seller excludes external gifts and promotional cards. These items are excluded from the current listing. Regular extras for volume 3 are a collection of promotional videos, a collection of commercials and web previews.

Switched at birth, high-school student Nagi Umino is finally going to meet his biological parents. That day he happens to meet Erika Amano, a student at a prestigious girls' school. At her request, he is more or less forced to pretend to be her boyfriend so that she can stop a marriage to her fiance. But these two are themselves the children who were switched, and they are the engaged couple. Their parents, who love both children, recognise Nagi and Erika as fiances, and the pair begin living together. Nagi is in love with his classmate Hiro Segawa; Erika is rebelling against her father. Their agreement is to have absolutely nothing to do with each other's affairs. A mismatched, chaotic romantic comedy of crossing lives begins.
