Pretty Cure Anime

The legend continues forever! Precure, a landmark anime series for girls, celebrates its twentieth anniversary. At the time of this anniversary edition's announcement, the latest series brought the total number of Precures to 77. The new battle of the legendary original pair, Futari wa Precure, finally receives its first complete-series Blu-ray release and an HD remaster. Character designer Akira Inagami supplies new illustrations for the three-sided sleeve and jacket. This lavish, fully limited first-production edition uses a sparkling three-sided ribbon sleeve case with inline foil decoration. The final episode's storyboards and recording script appear in a package for the first time, alongside a new anniversary booklet filled with commemorative discussions and staff comments. Video extras from the previous DVD boxes and compilation releases are collected together. The highly detailed DVD-box booklet, containing commentary and design materials, is reproduced in full as a digital booklet, with some rewriting. The original announcement also promoted a special Twentieth Anniversary Memorial: Futari wa Precure Three-Series Grand Reunion, bringing together special guests from Futari wa Precure, Futari wa Precure MaxHeart and Futari wa Precure Splash Star, and a twentieth-anniversary live concert celebrating the songs that have coloured the franchise. Advance ticket-lottery application slips were included. These are historical promotions; the former application periods have ended and current participation is not guaranteed.

Story A new school term begins. Nagisa Misumi and Honoka Yukishiro are now in the highest year of Verone Academy's girls' junior-high division. Mepple, Mipple and Porun have fallen asleep, and the two girls lead ordinary school lives, busy with club activities and studies. Meanwhile, in the Garden of Light, the Queen, injured in the battle with the Dark King, splits apart and disappears somewhere. At the same time, Zakenna, the evil dark force that should have been defeated, attacks Nagisa and Honoka! When they insert heart cards into their upgraded Communes, the pair transform into Precure again. And they are much more powerful than before!? To restore the Queen, whose memories and appearance have changed, Nagisa and Honoka, together with the awakened and strengthened Mepple, Mipple and Porun, stand up alongside the mysterious girl Hikari Kujo, believing in the future. Can Precure restore the Queen to her original form!?
