Pretty Cure Animation

Hop, step and jump into an expanding world! Soaring Sky! Pretty Cure celebrates the series’ twentieth anniversary with the sky as its motif and heroes as its theme. A vast, clear blue sky inspires a new generation of characters and a world that grows through discovery, reaching beyond borders, generations and gender.

A hero is someone who gives others strength, courage and inspiration. Working positively, dreaming and refusing to give up, the Pretty Cure pass the power they receive on to someone else. Beginning with two protagonists who recall the original Futari wa Pretty Cure, this anniversary story also introduces the series’ first boy Pretty Cure and adult woman Pretty Cure. Legendary Pretty Cure from earlier series appear in the ending sequences, bringing together fans across ages and genders.

Trouble strikes peaceful Skyland when a monster from the Underg Empire kidnaps the young Princess Ellee. Brave Sora follows her through a mysterious hole and emerges in Sorashido City, in another world. Are televisions and cars magical tools? There is no time to stand and stare: the princess must be taken back to her castle! The Pretty Cure adventure begins as they soar between two worlds. It is a hero’s turn to shine!

Volume 1 contains episodes 1–12. The bonus programme features a reference-material gallery, transformation and action scenes, an introduction quiz, an ending dance lesson, the first creditless opening and ending sequences, and a collection of commercials. The picture label and jacket newly illustrated by character designer Atsushi Saito are shared by the regular and first-press editions.

A three-sided sleeve case newly illustrated by Atsushi Saito and digipak packaging were announced as first-press features. These physical first-press features are available only while supplies last and are not guaranteed.
