HIGH CARD Anime

A card battle with fate at stake begins. HIGH CARD, created by TMS Entertainment, Homura Kawamoto and Hikaru Muno, becomes a television anime.

Finn has been living freely on the streets when he learns that the orphanage to which he owes so much is in danger of closing for lack of funds. Hoping to win a fortune, he heads to a casino. What awaits him is a nightmare of gunfire and car chases surrounding a card held by a man whose luck seems limitless.

Finn soon discovers fifty-two X-Playing Cards that grant chosen individuals supernatural abilities beyond human understanding, powerful enough to preserve the world's order or throw it into chaos. He also learns the power hidden in the companion he has treasured and carried with him since childhood.

High Card is a group of players secretly ordered by the king of Fourland himself to retrieve the cards scattered throughout the kingdom. Their public cover is employment at the long-established automobile manufacturer Pinochle. Recruited as the fifth member, Finn takes on dangerous missions with his stylish new companions. All that is needed is manners, dignity and the resolve to risk one's life.

Opposing them are the notorious Klondike mafia family and rival manufacturer Who's Who, obsessed with defeating Pinochle. Driven by justice, desire and revenge, players fascinated by the cards wager everything as their frenzied struggle begins. Are you ready? It's Showdown!
