Dokudami Castle, abandoned and occupied by the Dokutake Ninja Corps, is about to be seized by a mysterious band of dangerously powerful ninja. Facing an overwhelming enemy, Dokutake asks its long-standing rival, Ninjutsu Academy, for help. An unprecedented proposal to join forces throws the school into an uproar.

If the castle falls, it could become a base for a new war and drag the academy into the fighting. Concerned for his pupils’ future, Headmaster Okawa Heiji Uzumasa agrees to the alliance—and recognises the true identity of these formidable intruders. Meanwhile, an unexpected and turbulent chapter of Doi-sensei’s early life comes to light. Sixth-year I-class students Tachibana Senzo and Shioe Monjiro lead their companions into battle alongside Dokutake.

Can these old enemies really become allies? Are the dangerous newcomers truly unbeatable? And will the academy be all right? The twelfth Nintama Rantaro musical serves up an unprecedented alliance, unexpected turns and a generous helping of jokes and slapstick. This release captures the original October 2021 production’s Tokyo performance, accompanied by the Tokyo closing curtain call, the Osaka grand-finale curtain call, a making-of and all eight weekday after-talk sessions. A special eight-page booklet is included.
