A journey that weaves a story

Travel through a new world of mysteries and weave a story in Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey, the second game in the Mysterious series.

Following Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book, originally released on November 19, 2015, this alchemy-rebirth RPG seeks to create a world where players can tell a story of their own.

A girl who has never known the outside world

Firis lives in an underground mining town shut away behind a door. Day after day, her desire to see the outside world grows.

Her only connections to that world are the adventure stories she reads with care and her sister Liane, who is allowed to leave the town.

One day, Firis encounters a new power: alchemy. This seemingly fated meeting invites her on a mysterious journey stretching as far as she can travel. Together with Liane, she sets out to become a fully fledged alchemist.

The path you choose changes the story

Firis encounters many events and difficulties during her travels. There may be several ways to overcome them. The methods and paths she chooses gradually change the story—and even the fields themselves.

What kind of story will you weave with Firis? That is up to the player.

A changing world

Firis does not remain in a single town: she travels through places across the world. Some locations connect ports, rivers and rocky mountains within one continuous field.

Her destinations range from bitterly cold regions to tropical environments. The passage of time, from reddish evenings to nights filled with stars, makes the changing scenery even more enjoyable.

Dress for the journey

Different lands have different climates and surroundings, making functional clothing suited to the environment essential. Select the best outfit from many available garments to travel comfortably. Firis’ varied appearances are another part of the journey’s appeal.

Puzzle-like synthesis

Firis can use alchemy to synthesize items throughout the world. Combine materials to create items that are uniquely your own. Simply fit ingredient items into the panel inside the cauldron, like puzzle pieces, to make your own creations.

Mass synthesis

The game also includes synthesis on a scale beyond the ordinary. Mass synthesis creates extraordinary objects so large that even the size of the cauldron ceases to be a limitation.

Repel monsters in battle

Monsters may attack suddenly while you gather synthesis materials or head toward your next destination. Face them with the items you have synthesized and the help of your companions.
