A slice-of-life RPG where, once again, you do not save the world

The first Mysterious-series game, Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book, and the second, Atelier Firis: The Alchemist and the Mysterious Journey, both aimed to establish a new standard for the Atelier series.

This game combines the sense of everyday life portrayed by its twin-sister protagonists with the excitement of adventuring through the fantastical worlds inside mysterious paintings.

As the culmination of the Mysterious series, it seeks to bring out the distinctive appeal of Atelier to the fullest, offering something different from other RPGs.

Atelier Lydie & Suelle: The Alchemists and the Mysterious Paintings retains the series’ slice-of-life character while weaving extraordinary experiences into it, with the concept of allowing the everyday and the extraordinary to coexist.

To realise this, the theme of this game is paintings.

The key to the twins’ dream lies within mysterious paintings

A small atelier stands in Merveille, the capital of the Kingdom of Adalet.

Two young twin sisters, both novice alchemists, live there.

As they help their father, who is also an alchemist, the sisters share a dream: “One day, we want to run the best atelier in the country.”

Yet the twins remain inexperienced. Feeling a little impatient about the gap between their dream and reality, they continue their ordinary daily lives.

Then, one day, they discover a painting.

Inside it stretches a mysterious, dreamlike world, filled with piles of materials unlike anything they have ever seen.

A seemingly chance encounter with this mysterious painting suddenly brings the twins’ dream much closer to reality.

Explore the worlds of paintings and make your dream a reality

After discovering the painting worlds by chance, the two explore them to gather materials and fight the monsters they encounter.

Using the rare materials they obtain, they improve their alchemy skills.

By completing assignments and earning recognition from the kingdom, they increase their Atelier Rank, the measure of their atelier’s standing. Their goal is to make it the best atelier in the country.

The Mysterious series’ culmination features two protagonists

This third Mysterious-series alchemy RPG follows Atelier Sophie, originally released in Japan on November 19, 2015, and Atelier Firis, originally released in Japan on November 2, 2016.

The twin protagonists are drawn by two illustrators familiar to series fans: Yuugen for Lydie, and NOCO for Suelle.

Two sisters united by a strong bond

Lydie is the easygoing, naturally innocent elder sister. Suelle is her mischievous, tomboyish younger sister.

Their dream of running the best atelier in the country comes closer to reality through their encounter with a mysterious painting.

Adventuring through fantastical, extraordinary painting worlds alongside their everyday lives allows you to experience both the ordinary and the extraordinary.
