Getting tired of saving the world?

A mysterious story of one girl and one book begins in Atelier Sophie, an RPG about restoring alchemy.

The girl's name is Sophie. Bright but a little absentminded, she is an ordinary girl like any other. One day, while running an alchemy atelier on the outskirts of town, she encounters a mysterious talking book named Plachta.

By practicing alchemy and writing new recipes in Plachta, Sophie gradually uncovers both the memories of alchemy and Plachta's own memories. With the goals of restoring this knowledge and returning Plachta, who was once human, to a human form, the story of novice alchemist Sophie begins.

Inspiration leads to new recipes

Through synthesis, battles and a variety of other experiences, Sophie comes up with recipes of her own. Every individual action connects to alchemy.

Doll Make: the culmination of alchemy

Once Plachta takes on a human form, a power called Doll Make lets you customize her into a variety of appearances. Her abilities change along with her appearance.

Simple, intuitive panel-based synthesis

The new synthesis system has you arrange ingredients on a panel. It is intuitive, clear to see, enjoyable and easy to understand, allowing anyone to have fun with alchemy. Items you synthesize can also be used in battles.

A living world where time flows

The game incorporates the passage of time, which advances as you carry out activities. As time passes, morning turns to night, and the fields, monsters, events and many other elements of your adventure constantly change. Some items can only be gathered at particular times.
