The best, for the last—Utawarerumono’s final chapter

A sequel to Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception, Mask of Truth brings the Utawarerumono series to its concluding chapter. Its scope expands in every respect over the previous game, resolving mysteries that have remained untold.

As in the earlier games, the story proceeds through adventure sections, switching to simulation-RPG battles when combat begins.

A new age of war

“...Take care of Her Highness... Nekone, be happy...”

Entrusting the future of the imperial princess and his sister to Haku, Oshtor’s body and soul dissolve into the atmosphere and become part of the world. Haku, too, disappears from sight: to save everyone, he chooses to live as Oshtor, taking up the entrusted mask, the Akuruka.

Haku seeks to overcome a new age of turmoil using his own intellect and Oshtor’s reputation. Inheriting her brother’s will, Nekone suppresses her emotions and devotes herself to helping Haku. Their companions sink into sorrow over the loss of Haku and Kuon.

The unavoidable flames of war are about to engulf Ennakamuy. It is also the opening of a conflict that will spread across all of Yamato.

Oshtor—Haku

Voiced by Keiji Fujiwara, the protagonist is Haku taking on Oshtor’s identity, inheriting his close friend’s will and wearing the mask. He works to restore Anju to the imperial throne, commanding others through Oshtor’s reputation and connections and the strategic knowledge he developed as Haku.

Original Premium Edition contents

The set includes the game in a specially designed package featuring newly drawn artwork. Its front title logo is finished with silver foil stamping.

The setting-materials book brings together the characters’ early designs and rough sketches. The mini soundtrack CD contains a selection of music heard in the game.

A special acrylic plate uses the artwork drawn for the Premium Edition package and measures 175 mm high × 255 mm wide. The publisher confirmed this plate as the replacement for the folding illustration screen initially proposed during production.

Accessory completeness is not guaranteed with a Used copy.
