Utawarerumono Aquaplus

The origin becomes a new starting point

The first Utawarerumono game, Prelude to the Fallen, is the origin of the series and leads into Mask of Deception and Mask of Truth. It comes to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita with substantial enhancements.

Enhanced tactical simulation sections

All characters, maps and other elements in the tactical simulation sections have changed from 2D to 3D.

Combo attacks, finishing moves and cooperative attack presentations are also enhanced. Adopting a system similar to Mask of Deception and Mask of Truth makes play more accessible, while the presentation of event scenes is also improved.

Higher-resolution visuals

Event CG illustrations and upper-body character portraits have been refined at higher resolution.

All 2D backgrounds have been newly drawn, and the opening movie has also been upgraded to higher image quality.

Enhanced music

Every original background-music track has been rearranged.

The opening song Kimi Dake no Tabiji and ending song Kimigatame have also been rearranged for this game, with newly recorded vocals.

A new Special Extended Mode uses carefully selected background music from across the Utawarerumono series, giving the drama a new interpretation.

Cross-save support

The game supports sharing in-game progress data and suspended-game data between PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.

Characters: Aruruu

Eruruu's younger sister. In contrast to her sister, she is quiet and shy around strangers.

She may seem blunt at first, but inside she has a child's endearing qualities. She can communicate with animals through a heartfelt connection.

Characters: Eruruu

The girl who rescued the collapsed protagonist and brought him to the settlement of Yamayura. She has animal-like ears and a tail.

An apprentice herbalist, she is caring and skilled at all kinds of housework. Kind and cheerful, she is loved by the villagers, although her tendency to become jealous is her one shortcoming. She treasures her younger sister, Aruruu.

Characters: Hakuowlo

A young man found collapsed with serious injuries. Rescued by Eruruu, he was cared for at the settlement of Yamayura.

Gentle in manner and intelligent, he is demanding of himself. He wears a mask that cannot be removed, but having lost his memory, he does not know its origins.

After recovering, he is given the name Hakuowlo and works hard for the village's development. His actions will greatly change the world.

Characters: Yuzuha

Oboro's younger sister. Frail since birth, she has been blind since she was little.

She grew up with support from those around her, but her extremely protective brother has left her somewhat unfamiliar with the wider world. She is an innocent and kind girl.
