To see you again tomorrow, I will risk my life

Valkyria Chronicles Remastered returns at an affordable price in this original New Price Edition.

This imaginative simulation RPG, which had recorded more than one million sales, is beautifully revived on PlayStation 4. Its human drama unfolds through a war in a fictional Europe, expressed using the distinctive CANVAS drawing system and the innovative BLiTZ battle system. The remaster supports Full HD and trophies, and includes all extra content.

Friendship and love among comrades: human drama amid war

The small Principality of Gallia lies between the Empire and the Federation. The Imperial army suddenly invades this neutral country. Faced with its overwhelming military strength, Gallia's army retreats.

With the capital on the verge of falling, a makeshift volunteer force stands against the Imperial army.

Through the many human stories born in the extreme circumstances of war, this ambitious simulation RPG portrays the value of living with all one's might and the importance of the bonds between people: qualities that seem to have been lost in the present day.

CANVAS: hand-drawn illustrations moving in 3D

The moving graphics have the warmth of hand-painted watercolour illustrations.

Misaligned outlines, colours extending outside their outlines, shadows drawn with diagonal hatching and sound effects appearing as written words create a distinctive game world.

This visual expression is neither a CG movie nor a single still illustration. Players can move freely through spaces that resemble illustrations.

BLiTZ: strategy meets action

The BLiTZ battle system combines strategy and action. Players freely move the characters in their squad and experience the immediacy of running across the battlefield in real time while repelling enemy forces.

Overcome a variety of strategically rich battlefields by sniping from rooftops, hiding and scouting.

You can also organise your own force, train its distinctive units and develop them as you work to overcome the opposition.
