Space Battleship Yamato's symphonic suite returns in a new 2024 mix for the series' fiftieth anniversary. Originally released in 1977, the album saw composer Hiroshi Miyagawa rearrange and edit his background music, add new material and record the program with a full orchestra.

The new edition returns to the original sixteen-channel multitrack tapes. Toshiyasu Shiozawa handles the remix, with Yumiko Yamashita mastering the CD following her work on the YAMATO SOUND ALMANAC series and Space Battleship Yamato 2202 releases.

Twelve orchestral pieces trace the suite from Overture and The Birth through Iscandar and Stasha. This is the CD edition of the fiftieth-anniversary project.
