Space Battleship Yamato Nippon Columbia Anime Music

Yamato Sound Almanac’s fourth release group revisits an event held at Budokan before the theatrical release of Be Forever Yamato in 1980.

The recording combines orchestral performances of Yamato’s music with scenes recreated by the voice cast. The scale of what was performed live is remarkable, and the music still sounds completely natural today, revealing the enduring quality of the work. Speeches from the original creators and voice actors throughout the concert add another pleasure that only a live recording can offer.
