THE ALFEE HISTORY I 1982-1985 Digital Restoration Blu-ray

THE ALFEE looks back on 1982-1985 through a tapestry of live scenes, backstage footage, behind-the-scenes coverage, video programmes, television commercials and music clips. First released in 1985, HISTORY I preserves the energy of the band's early rise in this digitally restored presentation.

The programme opens with a Prologue and 1985 scene I, then "Flying Away (Special 1982-1985)." An Intermezzo leads into 1982, followed by "Sunset Summer (Special 1982, 1984)," Commercial Clip I and 1983. Another Intermezzo introduces Commercial Clip II, 1984 scene I, "The Distance (Special 1984, 1985)" and 1984 scene II. An Intermezzo, Commercial Clip III and a further Intermezzo lead to 1985 scene II, "Pavement (Special)" and 1985 scene III. "See You Again (Special 1982-1985)," Commercial Clip IV and the "Sophia" clip round out the archive sequence, followed by Special Interview I featuring Toshihiko Takamizawa.

The restoration uses Coupe's FORS technology to convert standard-definition material to 59.94p for 4K remastering. The Blu-ray presents an HD 29.97i version made from that restored master, with original-source noise repaired wherever possible. A reproduction of the original DVD booklet is included.
