Lupin III Anime

The second half brings a further story of mystery. Its keyword is women. Enchanting women appear one after another before Lupin, and their secrets and lies connect to a particular mystery surrounding the gentleman thief Lupin III. This unpredictable suspense differs from a detective tale, weaving colorful standalone episodes into a new story. Series composition is handled by Shigeru Murakoshi, a promising screenwriter at the forefront of anime. A new-generation team writes stories that build a bridge to the next fifty years.

The setting leaves Britain and reaches the entire world. Clad in the emerald green of their origins, Lupin and his companions have many challenges ahead. Lupin's next target is a mysterious jewel offered at a secret-treasure auction. Its origin and history are unknown, but it was once stolen from the mansion where Lupin lived as a child. He recalls the image of a certain woman, while other captivating women appear in succession. Their allure draws his gang into unpredictable suspense. Further romance and mystery await the globe-trotting thieves.

This box contains episodes thirteen through twenty-four. Kanichi Kurita voices Lupin III, Akio Otsuka voices Daisuke Jigen, Daisuke Namikawa voices Goemon Ishikawa, Miyuki Sawashiro voices Fujiko Mine, Koichi Yamadera voices Inspector Zenigata, Nobunaga Shimazaki voices Goro Yatagarasu, Risa Shimizu voices Matia, Nanako Mori voices Arianna, Hiroko Kiso voices Mercedes and Rika Fukami voices Tomoe.

The one-hundred-page booklet includes special interviews with Miyuki Sawashiro and series composition writer Shigeru Murakoshi, plus character designer Hirotaka Marufuji's broadcast-support illustrations for every episode. The package has a three-sided slipcase and a newly illustrated digipak.
