A reconstructed virtual world

This world never wanted people.

A new Sword Art Online game unfolds in a reconstructed virtual Aincrad. The game is called Sword Art: Origin, commonly abbreviated SA:O. Meeting the NPC girl Premiere begins a story about the creation of Aincrad.

A virtual MMO action RPG

Preserving the feel of an MMORPG while making its battle system more action-oriented, Sword Art Online evolves into a virtual MMO action RPG. Party size increases to a maximum of four characters: adventure through the virtual world with heroines and partners.

Send instructions to companions quickly and coordinate Switch actions among all four party members. In online multiplayer, four players each bring one partner, making a party of up to eight characters. Head into fields inhabited by powerful monsters and experience multiplayer with an even stronger MMORPG feel.

Explore beautiful, expansive fields

The latest SAO game arrives on PS4 and PS Vita. Run through expansive, beautiful fields and explore the world of Sword Art Online as depicted on the new generation of hardware. This edition is for PlayStation 4.

A new story for players in a virtual world

In the year 2026, the new VRMMORPG Sword Art: Origin enters closed beta. Kirito, who joins the test, encounters Premiere, a strange NPC girl without any settings assigned to her, and begins traveling with her. Yet this virtual world never wanted people.

The Town of Beginnings lies at the center of the story. Prepare for adventures and deepen bonds with friends in a town filled with encounters and partings with adventurers, communication and many other elements.

Interact with the appealing characters from Sword Art Online and experience episodes told only in this game.
