Super Sentai TV Series

Spanning the transition from the Showa era to Heisei, this Super Sentai collection follows five teams through their beginnings, power-ups and decisive battles. The 33 selected television episodes bring together Hikari Sentai Maskman, Choujuu Sentai Liveman, Kousoku Sentai Turboranger, Chikyuu Sentai Fiveman and Choujin Sentai Jetman.

Maskman includes episodes 1, 2, 22, 39, 45, 49 and 51. Liveman contributes episodes 1, 2, 28, 29, 30, 48 and 49. Turboranger contains episodes 2, 3, 14, 31, 48 and 51, followed by Fiveman episodes 1, 2, 20, 28, 39 and 48. Jetman completes the selection with episodes 1, 3, 31, 32, 47, 50 and 51. The Hikari Sentai Maskman theatrical special, originally released in July 1987, is included as a video extra.

Maskman features Ryosuke Kaizu, Koichi Kusakari, Issei Hirota, Yuki Nagata, Kanako Maeda and Hayato Tani. Liveman stars Daisuke Shima, Kazuhiko Nishimura, Megumi Mori, Seiro Yamaguchi, Jin Kawamoto and Joji Nakata. Turboranger brings together Kenta Sato, Fumiaki Ganaha, Keiya Asakura, Junichiro Katagiri and Yoshiko Kinohara. Fiveman features Toshiya Fuji, Kei Shindachiya, Ryohei Kobayashi, Kazuko Miyata and Keiko Hayase, while Jetman stars Kotaro Tanaka, Rika Kishida, Tomihisa Naruse, Sayuri Uchida and Toshihide Wakamatsu.

The series were created under the Saburo Yatsude name, with scripts by Hirohisa Soda and Toshiki Inoue and music by Goro Omi, Tatsumi Yano, Akihiko Yoshida and Kazz Toyama. Their original broadcasts run from Maskman in 1987 through Jetman's conclusion in February 1992.

The single Blu-ray has a published runtime of 674 minutes and Japanese Dolby Digital mono audio without subtitles. The television episodes retain their 4:3 framing; the theatrical extra is presented in 16:9. All footage is stored in standard-definition 480i.
